Class Cocktail Parties

Dear Cathedral Parents,

Happy New School Year, I hope that your children are all off to a great start! As we head into the Fall it is the time of year to start planning our Class Cocktail Parties.

For those families who are new to Cathedral, we have a long-standing school tradition of starting each new school year with the Annual Class Cocktail Parties. One of my favorite aspects of Cathedral is our community and getting to know each other outside of school is always fun. The goal each year is to get the grade-level parties scheduled in September, October or November.

We ask that one parent from each grade level volunteer to host the cocktail party in their home. The parties typically take place on a Friday or Saturday evening on a date selected by the Host. Parents who attend chip in by contributing appetizers, desserts, beer and wine. The Host parents divide up the guests alphabetically to assign who will bring food and beverages, I can help you with these details. The host will provide the venue, the paper products and ice (CASPA will reimburse a set amount for paper products, ice, or some additional food if needed).

As the chair of the class cocktail parties this year, I ask that you contact me as soon as possible if you would be willing to host your grade-level party. There are a few dates on the school calendar that we need to keep clear of parties, however, so we ask that you avoid these dates so we have no conflicts with school events:

Saturday September 14th Haiti Carnivale

Saturday September 21st Cathedral Night at the Yard

Saturday November 9th Bull & Oyster Roast

Thank you so much for considering hosting this fun night, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!
